A star is born! You dived in here to get the vid out asap after what seemed like a grueling day. You’re a natural Molly. You reported it all brilliantly and you injected such humour into your coverage. Very enjoyable and I hope you got some sleep and are recovered in time for Friday. SBF is of course f@@ked but you even gave us a bit of sympathy there, even though you know he deserves what’s coming.
You should do some more YT newsletters for W3IGG? Loving your Substack commentaries too. Alternatively you could do stand-up! Serious, you have it 🤣👍🏼
The auto-delete issue: maybe one reason why you would suddenly remove auto-delete when a crisis is upon you is so that you could suggest transparency, and start to accumulate communications that prop up whatever narrative you want people to see.
I jumped into the first reel after it was going on already for some time. It was nice to see you so excited, voice almost giving out, a little tired but soldiering on through your court notes. After the freeze I watched a good deal of recorded video and then I discovered the second link and jumped live into the second reel until the end.For me It was 3.30 AM and worth it. I very much appreciate that after summarizing the proceedings and commenting on the highlights you still took time to answer questions from the live audience. ❤️ your enthusiasm and dedication.
After listening to Michael Lewis' podcast yesterday I am now convinced he is legitimately in love with Sam. He's the only person I've heard mention any of Sam's intelligent, mesmerizing qualities. Every other person said yesterday he looked really bad, but Lewis is still like aww he's so smart and interesting
If you need to buy a new notebook, aside from Blick (which sells Moleskine), you could always stock up at the Muji in SoHo (which is much less expensive).
My adopted home county is home to the estate of the man who was (self) described as 'the hardest working man in show business'. Molly, you've got to be the hardest working reporter in crypto. Along with everyone else, I really appreciate you doing this, even setting the stage for us about how the overflow room works (I was discussing that with a friend just yesterday, he's a former [civil] trial attorney, and said that it can vary considerably, so we had no clue).
And, if you haven't already done it, I suggest you set up the option on Substack to 'make a one-time payment' to defer the cost of your trip...all of your comments about the natural reluctance to commit to any kind of on-going fee were right on the money. I'm in for sure, and I'll bet most of your many supporters will be also.
Bravo Molly, for making it to court and for streaming all this, what a great job you did! It's Saturday night as I was unable to watch this yesterday, and yes, I'm spending my Saturday night completely engrossed in this trainwreck. Hope you got a good night's sleep!
I just knew SBF would freak out because now he's not surrounded by enablers agreeing with his every word and gushing over him. And yet he would go into this thinking he was very clever and could talk his way out of this massive hole he's in. I wonder how often his lawyers were mentally slapping their heads.
I look forward to the writeup(s) -- I don't do well with a/v presentations (even with live captioning, although that makes some short a/v tolerable) but I do appreciate that you took the time to record your thoughts!
Video report: Sam Bankman-Fried began his testimony
That freeze frame is a landmark moment in internet history. I’ll be able to tell my grandkids I was there.

"They should be taking questions from the audience" 😄 Made my day. Thanks for this thorough report, concise & great style.

I’m glad I can drink wine and eat popcorn while watching these :)
But seriously this is gripping stuff for us too far from the court room!

You're staying for Monday, right?
Thank you. Subscribed.
Were you able to go down and see if Cafe Lorenzo is still there?!?
Neat I didn’t realize you did live streams! Should we keep an eye on your Twitter for when these are happening?
Is that a hotel room; steal everything not nailed down
