The ftx trial is pretty straight forward.

I only keep up with it cause I'm expecting his defense attorneys to YOLO and argue that unicorn farts, leprechaun burps, and crypto don't constitute any valid form of currency or security cause they ain't real.

Thanks for keeping me up to date on everything else

I’m a new paid subscriber but have been reading your newsletter awhile. I struggled to understand cryptocurrency and blockchain when all this started making the news but your writing has helped me parse it along with plenty of LOLs. Thank you and keep up the great work !

I had to double check that you had already posted today, now that's content creation! :-)

It leads me to a question which might be invasive or rude, or I'm maybe totally overthinking it. My only reason for asking is curiosity which is often not a good enough reason to ask something, but enough preamble here's the question: With the amount of work you put into this, I can't possibly see you having enough time for another job. Are you able to make a sustainable income being the leading web3/crypto critic? I see you're an affiliate of the Berkman Klein Center and obviously you have paying subscribers, of which I'm proud to be one, but I simply have no idea if that's enough for a full-time career.

I hope it is, and feel free to ignore this question! I will be arguing internally whether it's appropriate right up to the moment I hit post. I have friends who are conjoined twins, and many people think being curious or even not having bad intentions is a good enough reason to ask personal questions and it's not.

PS The idea of traders wanting to buy ETH ETFs but being too riveted by Gary Wang's testimony is my new favorite crypto excuse.

I’m throwing my vote in for a narrated version. Reading this tiny phone screen is making me blind.👨‍🦯. I could barely even type this comment without getting the “blond” emoji three times before I got the “blind” emoji. 👱🏿‍♂️ 👱🏿‍♂️ 👱🏿‍♂️. I can’t see these tiny letters

I've only been following FTX, so this update is very helpful and timely!

I can't wait for the Mashinky trial, if it gets to trial the videos and tweets will be interesting to see through a juries eyes. But I maybe want to Gemini/Genesis/GBTC more (even though it's civil). It will be interesting what tea will be spilled in court filings...

And the spot ETF is very interesting to me. I always wondered why crypto wants to be part of the Traditional finance system. The whole not your keys not your crypto crowd. But the low interst is good schadenfreude for the rest of us.

Haha how much you wanted to exempt the trial you can't get around mentioning FTX a couple of times since this whole scene is so intermingled!

I am truly astonished that more people haven't been arrested yet and the whole industry shut down by regulators for being fraud, all the time, 24/7. Only a matter of time?

Thanks for this. Also I enjoyed your turn on Ed Z's podcast recently. I thought you were scrupulously fair about the (so far wasted) potential of crypto/blockchain.
