Though the PeopleDAO hack is a comparatively small part of your write-up, I am struck by the incompetence of someone who would share a *publicly editable* payroll document to Discord. I don't condone the hacking (however enterprising and clever it was) but really, that's some seriously lax security.

Thanks for your usual fine reporting and writing, and this great line: “Despite the rough year, the innate crypto urge to pump, promote, and shill was alive and well.” Also, still kind of amazing to me that there are folks who don’t see that Web 3 is first and foremost a marketing ploy. I’m curious, in the Euler hack: if they threatened the hacker by saying they’d pay $1mil for information…couldn’t the hacker just pay like $1.1mil to keep the snitch silent? If I was a possible snitch, that’s what I would do - reach out to the hacker and blackmail them for slightly more than the reward. No honor among thieves 🤷🏻‍♀️.

Also, I’ll donate to send you to Consensus 2023. I just need to get a short setup on BTC first 😂.
